Milo Selling Off Stuff

Evil new building owners are kicking everyone out; we have to move quickly!
In the process, we give up not only our fairly spacious apartment of 37 years, but a huge storage room downstairs.

We have SO much to have to sell, throw away, and donate.
If something could appeal to you for yourself or as a gift, please reach out.

After initially working like mad to keep both this webpage and Facebook Marketplace up-to-date, I realized that it’s easier just to share a link to our Facebook Marketplace page, which I shortened below using Tinyurl.

Robert’s and my Facebook Marketplace Page is:

Tinyurl.com/ForSaIeInHillcrest

Thanks for at least taking a look.  BTW, someone suggested we start a GoFundMe page and I would not be comfortable doing that.
But there is a great way you can support me:  For those who don’t know, I’m a photo editor/restorer (see one-minutes video below).  If you have any photos that could use that kind of work, a little extra income instead of a handout would be so appreciated during this time.  More about that work in the video by clicking the image below or going to  www.FreshenYourPhoto.com and/or email me at photo@FreshenYourPhoto.com

This list will be updated as we dig further into storage and as we sell things, so do return!  Here’s what we’re showing currently:

  • THREE Yamaha Keyboards, two full, one travel.  More details lower.
  • An 8-person and a 9-person tent.  Details below.
  • A terrific high-end juicer that I loved till I went lo-carb.  $35
  • A volleyball net and poles (cheap, not heavy duty)  $5
  • Box of several hundreds of unifix blocks (great for teaching kids counting and math).  common mid-size sets (500-1,000 cubes) costing between $55 and $130.  $10 here.
  • A small microwave oven that works great; it was just no longer needed.  $25.
  • Tennis racquets?  (lower end….$10)
  • Lots of board games (many of them shown below)
  • So much more but I’m just trying to remember all I saw down there for now.

Also, for frée, we’re going to give away our old living room set (pictured below) as it gets closer to the move.
The love seat is in pretty good condition because it was used SO much less.
The couch is a little lumpy and looks better with a blanket on it than uncovered, like below but maybe some young people just starting out would like an actual set instead of nothing at all?  OR make a play set look more robust with real furniture?   All we ask is that whomever is taking it comes with enough people to get it out of here without us old men having to help.  😊

Here’s the free giveaway living-room set (please come take it!) before we get to what’s for sale.  Coffee table not included.

LEATHER COUCH:

It’s in nice shape.  Rarely ever even sat on; it was in my office-room where I thought I’d bring clients and I ended up meeting them in my living room.  Original owner.  We may be keeping this one as our living room couch, depending where we end up.  If you LOVE it and know you would want a leather couch, talk to us…leather doesn’t really match anything else in our living room stuff.  81 wide, 36 deep, 34 high.

THREE YAMAHA KEYBOARDS:

Google the model numbers for details.

  1. The travel one: Yamaha’s model number for it is PSR-320.  Seeing them used on ebay for $100-$200.  $50.  See what they look like and read specs
  2. For the nicer, bigger ones, they are BOTH called “Yamaha Portable Grand DGX-220”  See what they look like and read specs

2a]  One of them should be an easy sell because it’s in nice condition, other than the plastic yellowing a bit on the keys.
I’m seeing them used for $200-300 on ebay, plus shipping.  $100 for this one.

2b]  The other DGX-220 has two quirks:

1]  there’s a crack in one of the keys.  I don’t really feel it as I was tapping back and forth on it and the ones around it, but a real player might.

2]  the master volume knob fell off.  it’s still quite turnable by the post sticking up and would be even easier
if you put a clip or something on it, but it’s quite useable so long as you’re not changing master volume constantly.
Other than that, it plays as well as the other, so if you can live with these two little issues, $40.

All keys tested and working.

INSTA-TENTS

There are two Insta-tents that open like a huge umbrella.  So much easier than poles!
One is 8-person and the other is 9-person.

#1) The 8-man can be seen well here is the Ozark Trail 8 Person Instant Cabin Tent with optional LED Light poles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Csr1v1eTyKE Measures 13′ x 9′ with a 72-inch (6 foot) center height, comfortably fitting two queen airbeds or up to 8 campers. Versatile Design: Includes a room divider to create a two-room tent and features eight windows for 360-degree views. Sells for $149 new online plus shipping. Mine used only a few times for $70.

2) The 9-man one is the Coleman is no longer made by them, which is a shame because it’s bigger and higher:  A comfy 7′ in the center! . You can see a listing for it on ebay with specs here.  They’re asking over $300.  This one for $100.

There’s also a collapsable tent cot, but I need to check it out before describing or pricing it.

ELLIPTICAL

I became friendly with the guy who maintained my previous one until it blew something inside. Different brand, which wasn’t as high end or reliable. I asked him if he could find me a good one. Within about a week he came back and said he had access to an amazing Bowflex BXE216 (click for details and to see how highly it’s reviewed) that he just got access to. When you look at the specs you will see it’s super high-end with all kinds of features, even a sound system that I never used. It is very programmable and they say that’s good for fat burning but I tended to just use the all one speed because I found that less jarring while I was watching television.

It had been on a movie set brand new so the only people who ever used it before us were a handful of actors during the filming and then it was mine after that! So it was practically brand new.

I think I’ve had it about 3-5 years.. I’ve had him in to maintain it now and then and there were never problems; just wanting to keep it going smoothly.  Happy to share his name. He might even be willing to help with the move if he gets to do a maintenance on it when sits at your place. I mean I’m sure he would charge a little bit more for that but it might be worth it and he’s super nice and dedicated.

I see them used online between 500 and 1000.  Asking 300 and I’ll really miss it.

GAMES

I’ll try to keep the list up to date, but at the moment it’s this:

Scrabble Deluxe and Scrabble Travel.   Mindtrap II.  Toilet Golf Game (great gag gift for a golfer).  Reel Clues.  Jeopardy   Anybody’s Guess.  Family Feud.  Cranium.  Guesstures.  Sculptivity (like Pictionary but with clay!), Upwords, Judge for Yourself, Hoopla, Boggle Bowl.  Inklings.  Life Stories.  San Diego Monopoly.

More coming….that’s just what was in storage; we have more to get off the shelves of our master bedroom closet.

“Migration” is a beautiful never opened puzzle.  1000 pieces.  I think it’s shrinkwrapped.

I can’t price them all.  Come make a nice offer and it’s yours.  More to be shown soon when we go through what’s IN the apartment, too.

SONY 46″ FLAT SCREEN TV:  KDL-46VL160

Top brand!   Passed along to me by a friend who went for a 60″ so I could put this in my bedroom, but 46″ just felt too big so it has sat in storage.
The bummer:  I can’t find the remote.  I see them online for as little as $10 though.  Yours for $45 on faith and if it doesn’t work great, full refund.
